Basketball legend and avid cycling enthusiast, Bill Walton, was in Mammoth Lakes in July fundraising for the Eastern Sierra Land Trust and riding his bike all over Mono and Inyo Counties with members of the Eastside Velo Cycling Club. This is a short video taken by local photographer (and big Bill Walton fan!) Steve Schmunk while following Bill's group on an early part of the High Sierra Fall Century Bike Ride route. This video was shot near the Crestview Cal-Trans station and is part of the first 25 miles of the route which is on divided highway with an eight foot wide bike lane and rumblestrip. The remaining 75% of the ride is on VERY lightly travelled and excellent roads with magnificent views.
