Thursday night sees the latest episode in the DOG WORLD produced series, Around the Dog World hitting television screens for the first time. Not only will there be extensive highlights of the regal Windsor championship show, but you can also watch highlights of the finale at both Bath and Southern Counties earlier in the summer.
Make sure to switch over to Horse & Country TV (Sky 253) at 8pm on Thursday evening (Aug 4) to catch all the action, or try again on Monday (Aug 8) at 10pm. The full programme will also be available on-demand via the dogworld.tv website from Friday morning.
The show starts off at Bath where Steve Hall had a difficult decision from the seven finalists in the Best in Show ring, and a week later at Southern Counties Karina Le Mare had just six of her finalists to choose from.
With Di Johnson on hand, Simon Baillie and Marina Scott run down all the recent Best in Show winners since the previous programme before getting to the action in the Windsor group ring, and every single one was winning at that level for the first time.
From Windsor there is highlights and interviews from every group before stepping into Best in Show with Ben Reynolds-Frost making the final decision from a spectacular seven in Home Park.
Winner of the Pawscar for Championship Show of the Year, Windsor is one of the best shows to visit for exhibitor or spectator, so with a cheerful atmosphere ringside also makes great television.
Next month the cameras refocus on a couple of single group shows – Hound Association and National Gundog, so give the cameras a wave if you see them in Stafford or Malvern this weekend. That episode will feature a handful of breed features as well as highlights of each show on the first Thursday in September.
The Queen's Royal Windsor Castle overlooking the showground always makes the show feel special.
